Default Two up on a Train...

Bottom line is, the wife loves to ride with me. For long trips though is it a bit uncomfy for her. So, thinking of going to an Electra Glide...Any thoughts? Who rides there Trains two up for any distance?&nbsp\\; BTW, we dont do alot of long trips, most are 150 miles or less...But when we want to, thinking the Electra may be the way to go...damn decisions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

get a good seat and it will make all the difference. I just sold my Mustang seat to someone with a bike like yours and he loves that he can ride as solo or put on the pinion and two up. I road a sportster 1200 miles with a sundowner seat. It does make a big difference when you dont feel every bump.

Yes to the seat. I had a 2 up long distance seat. Didnt look cool but was comfy. And a 2 up around town seat, that looked better. Then had a solo, looked the best. Depending on the riding is what seat I used. Also have a suction cup p pad for a throw on when she decided to ride at the last minute. Look on ebay. Lots of seats on there that go cheap.

The seat that is on there now is a Mustang. Great for me, not all that comfortable for her for longer rides. The other advantage to the Electra is the bags for storage....Am I trying to talk myself into getting the Electra?!!!![:@]

Yes you are. You can get bags for the trips then take them off in the hotel or where ever you stay. Then ride like it is now. If you love the bike you have make it work for you. Would hate yourself if the new bike wasnt as fun when you arent on trips or 2 up.

See if you can find a stock take off seat and sissy bar from a Custom. They look decent and the wife should like the ride a lot better. Worse case is that you can get it fitted with gel pads and still save a bunch of money.
