I am looking for an exhaust system for my Crossbones. Money is tight and I dont have $600+ to spend on a set of V&H Short shots. I was looking on Ebay and I found these made by Santee. I like the style and the look. Chrome is not really my thing so i was thinking on wrapping them if I get them. What do you guys think? Thanks guys

Pipes are one of the biggest buys for a bike. I dont think you need to compromise. Get what you want. But If they look good then why pay for a name.

 

I would wait until you have the money to get what you want.&nbsp\\; I did exactly what you are planning to do...get what I can afford, I regret it!

 

In many regards, you get what you pay for. I would keep saving till you can get the good stuff.

 

If you really like the pipes then get them. If you are not sure...which you may be because your asking us, then dont. You want to make sure that you are happy with your purchase. Those are good looking and would fit nicely on the bones to show off more of the rear. But it is your call.

 

Price is good.&nbsp\\; If that's the look you want...........Something to consider is the description of the pipes between the 2 brands.&nbsp\\; From the link provided it appears that the look-a-likes are 1 75 in. diameter all the way through.&nbsp\\; In my mind that's a drag pipe w/ a baffle.&nbsp\\;

Look at the other brand, the pipes are stepped for better claimed performance.

Hmm...1/3 of the V&amp\\;H price. Do yourself a favor and save up\\; I made the same mistake 2x.
