Default fair price for 05 fatboy

Hey guys. Dyna owner here looking to jump to a softy. Local dealer has a 2005 fatboy. He's asking 14,900 and it's bone stock. Has pass seat, and windshield. It has 8700 miles. NADA avg retail is 11,600 for Fi and 11,300 for carb. KBB however has a retail of 14,700. What's a fair price? I was going to offer up maybe 12K and see what he says. Give me your opinions.

Thanks.

Sounds way too high. If you look you can probably find a leftover 08 for 15,xxx

I got my 06 FB with 1,800 miles, stage 1 w V&amp\\;H, spoked smoothies, bags, chrome goodies, quick detach bar... for $12.5. I will admit that this was one of the best deals I have seen. $12k for stock 05 is an ok deal.&nbsp\\; Better off to buy from private party who is desperate to sale.

Thanks for the tips guys. Here in SW ohio the cheapest deal on an 08 is 16K and change. The private sellers around here are on crack too. I can't believe what they "think" they will get for their scooters. Wost case is I keep my 07 Street Bob for another year and see what's available. If i get a killer deal I'll be sure to let you all know. Thanks again for input.&nbsp\\;

I just bought a 06 Fatboy a month ago, FLSTFI, 6,000 miles, SEII exhaust, chrome and rubber pegs, grips, floorboards, detachable windshield, sissy bar and saddle bags, stage 1 and SE air filter. I paid $14,900 cad.

Search Craigslist all over US. I found mine 3 hours away on Craigslist. Phoenix has a lot of bikes for sale and I have seen some great deals there. Dont be afraid to ship...

The deal is whats good for you. I paid 15 for mine last year with 9000 miles. Totally stock. I thought it was a good deal and bought it.
Better deals out there probably. You could look forever. Im glad I made the move.

I think $14900 is too high for a bone stock '05 Fatty. My stealer currently has an '06 for sale with Stage 1 Kit, bags, windshield, and the skull chrome accessories (to include digital fuel gauge) priced at $15K. It only has 2600 miles on it.

I just bought an '03 with 2250 miles, bags, Stage 1, and all the chrome 100th Anniversary accessories for $13K. I definitely think you can do better.
