Default How often do you wash your scoot?

Just wondering how often anyone washes their scoot. How long does it take you?

Well, I ride it to work every day, and I go in very early because it always gets bugs on it on the way in plus, in St Augustine, the sprinklers are on. When I get to work I take it over to the aircraft wash rack and do a full detail job. I just can't stand to leave it parked out there with bugs and water spots on it. What would the other employees think? If I go out to lunch, I make sure to do a full filth inspection upon my return and then I go back to work. Wednesday they told me that if i keep it up they're gonna fire me but I don't care. A clean bike is far more important, right? When I get home from work I go ahead and wash it again because I'm pretty sure that if I don't the bugs and dirt will probably never come off and how could i respect myself if i let that happen, ya know? The only problem I have now is that there must be something wrong with the paint because i've noticed that a lot of it appears to be rubbing off. I'm hoping HD will warranty it.

P.S. I'm a little grouchy right now so I felt like being an azzhole......

I try to actually avoud breaking out the hose and suds unless the bike is really trashed from gettin caught in the rain.

Most of the time I use a quick detailer, Mothers Chrome Polish and some S10 engine brightener.

Either way, it's time consuming and the more I ride the harder it is to stay on top of it.

I wash mine every month or so, maybe every 60 days but it is not a daily rider. I use the quick detailers as well like S100 or Harley Gloss in between washes. I usually use the Harley Glaze polish after the wash.

Whenever it needs it. Sometimes every week, sometimes every month. Just depends on how much I get caught in the rain.

I usually just detail my bike with spray on turtle wax bug and tar remover or mequiars. Never used a hose on it till I went to Nova Scotia and rode in the rain for days. Then it took me 8hrs to clean it. And still it will never be the same. whaaaaa.

I'm a bad bad boy! I don't wash her as often as I should. I would rather ride than wash. I do a bug wipe off and dust off with Pledge.
