Springer squeaks and wire wheels....
Scott,
Thanks much for the info! Like you I went for the styling & how it would look with bags, but with this size of an investment I wanted some outside opinions - yours is much appreciated. I took a look at the photos of yours you have posted and those pipes look great, how's the sound/performance with them?
Thanks again for the input,
Dave

Dave, I love the pipes. I'm very pleased with the look and the sound is also great. They are pretty loud though. Describing loud is a hard thing. I would rate them a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the loudest I ever heard. I'm talking after market pipes on a big twin here. Not some chopper or custom. Naturally they're not quite as deep as a longer pipe. But nice IMO. As far as performance I can't really say. I'm pleased with the power and acceleration of my bike. I don't really get into the whole HP gains thing. Don't feel I need more then I have. Hope that helps. Scott
Dave,
Similiar response here. I have a '99 Road King and am familiar w/Harley's, so I bought it because I love the styling. I am running the Screamin' Eagle slip-ons, which sound good but are not too loud. The squeak I mentioned earlier is now gone and I just had my bike serviced/Stage 1 stuff done.
Love it!
Carl
