Thanks for all the input.
I may just need to get used to the sound. I rode with stock for a few weeks. That was really quiet. My wife couldn't even hear when I left or came in.(Maybe that was a good thing!)

wecjpc,

I went with the Rush with the 1.75 baffles, and found them a bit too loud for my tastes. I loved the deep tone they made, but the "crack-crack-crack" at my right ear was just too much...getting old I suppose. I went down to the 1.50 baffles and I really like the sound and can ride all day long without ear plugs. I know some folks like the better sound of the 2.0s and up, and can appreciate your tastes...so more power to ya! I am hooked on the Rush slip-ons and would recommend them. Best of luck getting used to your pipes.

I put the 2" on my 07 flstc last year and liked the deep sound from day 1. after about
7-8 K they got louder, still deep sound. Could have been because the baffles have been taken out twice to check and get the the pipes sealed correct to header. (HD wrench didnt get right first time).
The packing no doubt lost some of its material both times.
Now with 14+K on them I called Rush and explained the need for ear plugs on long rides and they sent me new packing and even sent it over night, no charge..
A+ for service.

the screaming eagle 50 state legal slip on mufflers may be right up your alley. they rumble more than stock but not as loud as rush pipes or any others. or just put them stock pipes back on.
