Exhaust upgrade
No need to do anything....this is probably the most common topic that I've seen on this forum. There is no need to do remapping or any other modifications if you just add pipes. If you start adding pipes and a new air cleaner or intake then you would need to get it mapped. I've seen more people screw their bikes up by mapping unnecessarily.

Check ebay for pipes, Fuel Moto for PCIII, and SE intake from dealer. I got my SE intake at a dealer when they had a 20% off sale and saved about $30. My total cost for everything was about $860. I did all the work myself. Add future dyno and will be into it for ~$1100.
Hey Clay,
How does your Heritage sound with the long pipes? I have a 2005 Heritage Classic with the factory exhaust and am thinking about jazzing it up a bit. I don't want the bike to be too loud as I live in a quiet neighborhood, but would like a more powerfull sound. I have been thinking about the Rush slip-ons with 1 1/2" baffles. I am wondering if your long pipes are similar to the slip-ons with 2" baffles.
Or, is there a way to modify stock baffles? Can the holes be drilled? Or is that playing with fire?
