I want to change the tail light on my 06 NT. I want to get some LED tail lights with turn signals and change the stock license plate bracket. Ive been looking around for license plate bracket and all I that I found is for 05 and older. Any sugestions on what to get and show more of the rear tire without having to install a side mount plate.

 

I love my Kuryakyn Panacea Deluxe LED's with Lay down Blue Dot Taillight. I can't help you with the license bracket though.

You're gonna have a hard time finding a nice flush mount tail light because 06 fenders are wider due to the 200 tire and no one has stepped up yet to make a light that fits yet. But, don't always believe what the manufacturers list as years for a particular part. I have put many parts that were for 99- older softails on my 01 standard and 04 fatboy. Sometimes you just have to tweak them a little and they will fit.

 

Check out www.jokermachine.com. Joker has a really nice led tail light and license plate holder for the new 06 200 tire softails. Really nice piece, a bit pricey.

 

I went with a J&P clear lens, an LED bulb with rear AND sphere diodes. You need sphere diodes to reflect or the LED will not show up as bright.
This LED bulb gives off a true cherry red color, and really looks custom at night.

I also have the clear MoCo LED stem lights on the rear turn signal stalks. I also mounted silver Star bulbs in the turn signal lights All together, they look "clean"...

I took a dremal and cut down the stock plastic base to the lic plate size and put a chrome plate frame around it. It moved the plate up about 2" from the stock position into the fender. Threw away the reflector extention. I know Terry worthless without pictures. Gonna work on that tonight.
