Default Only Real Bikers Know This

1. Has anyone ever kicked started a Harley?

2. If so what size?

3. Could it hurt you & why?

Don’t worry the questions get a lot harder.Be careful some of these are meant to fool you. LOL

I used to kick my friends Evo. over for him (he couldn’t do it because of a bad foot) & one time (at band camp) LOL

We were in a hurry as we were leaving with a big toy run
I kicked it so hard that his bars slid down. The dam thing took many kicks to start sometimes so I would use the bars for leverage after a while.

So the grips were past the tank and we couldn’t pull them back up without loosening the riser bolts. And we could only turn the bars 2” left or right.
we missed the run. boo hoo hoo.

Guess you hade to be there!!!

4. Well how about it any body kick b/4?

5. If I kicked an Evo what year was it?
6. How many gears does a kicker tranny have? and what years?

7. What is the difference of metal a Pan’s heads made from & Knuck’s heads made from?

8. Witch is stronger?

9. How many FORWARD gears does a tranny have with reverse?

10. What model has reverse?

11.0Does it matter what side you plug your spark wires into the coil?

12. Did you know you have spark wires?

13.0Have you ever owned a bike that takes 50w oil?

14.0What is the difference between straight weight oil like 50w or 20w50?

15. If you are traveling down a dead end road for the 1st time and have to take a left 5 miles before the road ends how long do you have to travel before you turn?

16. Other than the road ending and a cliff in front of you,
“theoretically speaking” is there ever a time when you should jump off your bike or “lay it down” instead of using emergency maneuvers to avoid a crash?

17. What is the velocity of an average human head attached to a 200lb body at 35mph?

18. How much pressure will that velocity make if suddenly interrupted?

19. And last but not least, how much pressure does it take to squish the above head?

Ok, ok I know there was no need for the last 3. (Sorry)

And yes this is my idea of fun since all my friends are in bed and I lost my tequila!!!

If you don’t know all the answers, you are still a biker because in this society everybody gets a prize.

Yes, you could break your leg kick starting a Harley. If it backfired while your leg was going down.....ouch!

I did say "if" and it wasn't my bike, its my buddies. He got it about 15 years ago for nearly nothing, still has it and rides it regularly.

Ha ha !! Kicked a few. 74 FXE, 84 FXB, Misc others. Early Sportsters were harder to kick than 74's. The 74 FX had a 468 Sifton cam. Those have more duration and overlap than anything. Like kick starting a 125. My 69 Triumph was kick only. That was like a mule (I was about a buck forty at the time)

The only kick start EVO's were the 85-86 FX's (4 sp Shovel style frame) and the very 1st Softail's. (84 maybe 85, 4 sp w/chain)
