Giving Thanks...
It helps me get through on a daily basis. WARG, jsut so you know, I ahve done all my mods on a budget. I ahve bought most items used if I could find them. That is the only way I can get it done. Patience. 3 years and I "think" I am almost there. Then the engine work will begin if the money comes around, although that is not very important to me...
Doing a lot of the mods myself has saved a ton of cash on labor. No sense paying for what I can do myself. I'm still caught in the quandry of which to do next, wheels or cams/exhaust. I keep waffling back and forth. I am thinking of forgoing the DNA Mammoths and saving an extra $500 and getting some mag wheels I found on the KC Internationals site. They have sets on there for both wheels, rotors and the pulley for $1495. Who knows, I'll change my mind tomorrow again probably.
Well I hve gotten everything for my wheels for about $1100. Two wheels, 2 tires and two rotors. Got a friend who is going to mount the tires for free and I do all the work myself as well. The one thing I have learned is getting something that is not what I really want is jsut a way of putting off what I really want. I will eventually get it, especially with all the time I spend on here. I don't really lose too much money as I always resell my stuff (I have to to keep getting stuff) but I say get what you want the first time. Simpler and easier on the wallet and the mind...My next thing is the cam thing, but with the wya things are financially I am thinking I'll just get a new set of the tensioner shoes and have someone who knows what they are doing help me put them in. I can't msuter the funds for cams and the Laughlin run this year right now...
that's a great price. Did you rotors and pulley too, or sticking with the stock ones? I know what you mean about getting what you want the first time, that's why I'm putting so much thought into which wheels to get. Waiting a little longer and saving some extra cash to only do it once is worth it. Anyway, I'm sure you guys on here will be the first to know when I decide.
