Default Why can't anything ever be easy?

Went to take the passenger pillion and was able to detach the seat from the bike but was unable to seperate the pillion?

Someone please tell me that it takes some tool other than an allen wrench? If an allen wrench then what size?

Do they make allen wrenches for both US and metric? Maybe I have the wrong set? And if they don't make them using both measures then go ahead and laugh you won't hurt my feelings.

A set of allen wrenches is cheap. Pick up a set of both US and metric and you'll be set.

Actually it's star wrenches... not allen wrenches... but apparently
I stipped them because the star wrenches aren't working too well
either but I know they're right because they see to fit but still I
may have done too much damage with the allen wrenches cause
I'm really not having much success.

Any ideas?

Default Stripped star screws

pensacolaharley, go to sears buy a set of screw extractors, also called easyouts. You drill a small hole into the screwhead and then insert the extractor and turn it to remove the screw. The extractor is reverse threaded so the more you turn the tighter it gets into the screw. I use mine quite often. Especially with star screws as they strip quite easily.

Thanks... going to Home Depot in about an hour to get a set made by Black & Decker for about $10 and has 5 different sizes.

Just use the right tools and you'll be fine. I bought a large kit from Windzone and so far its covered all my needs. I found these on eBay for $39
