Mocking up my new lights
They are nice, but if I was just looking to get more light out front. I would bite the bullet (cause Harley wants $350 for them, but Chicago HD sells them for about $280) and get the twin headlight off a Fatbob. It uses two complete headlight bulb sets and both function together as low or high beams.

I think those type lights only have a class lens, and drilling into the bottom of yours mount the turn signal bulbs shouldn't present any problems if your light buckets use the more modern (small) bulbs behind a glass or crystal lens. Instead of the older big headlight 5" or 7" lamps.
