Default Detachable backrest

Put the passenger pillion back on and added a detachable backrest myself. Was going to
have the dealership do it for $200 but then decided I'd do it myself for $0. What would've
probably only taken them an hour or two took me about 5. And I put a small scratch on
the left side (I can live with that.) My only problem is there didn't seem to be enough wire
on the left side and after all was done it seemed like a tight pull. I'm worried that the first
time I hit a bump it'll come lose and I won't have a working left turn signal. If it happens
I'll run it by the dealer and let them fix it. I can't imagine them charging me much because
there wasn't enough excess wire on that side to do that job (there wasn't much on the
other side either). They should put at least an inch or so more wire for stuff like that.

I was going to do a DIY but lol that would've easily added another hour or two to the job.
Oh I will also tell ya that their instructions are sorry as $%*&K!!!

Yeah, when i moved my turn signals, for my detachable sissy bar for my cross bones, it was a tight fit with the wires to.

yeah I misworded that I guess what I meant is that it's stressed just because it was such a tight fit shouldn't be anymore stress put on it when riding BUT if that left rear turn signal stops it'll be because the wires came apart.

I already have some extra wire and heat shrink standing by if I need it.

Screwing things up is how you learn to work on your bike. Acidents happen, even for guys who do it for a living. The left signal wiring, when you do detachables are always short, you need to add a couple of inches.

Now that I know we're not I won't read your reply so don't waste your time.

Thanks Crazy I didn't know that, if I had I would've bought some extra wire before starting the job.
