Default New pipes and a question.

Received my hooker troublemakers on Friday and plan on installing them sometime next week.

Not doing anything else to the bike right now, engine or intake wise. I plan on running it with the quiet baffles. At least that's the plan right now...

I am wondering whether I will need to have a tune done after putting the pipes on? Anybody have any experience to share? I would love to hear it.

If you are just doing pipes you should be good. only need to tune if you add a bigger air cleaner.

hey wv guy.. are you using any baffles in your exhaust, or is it just straight pipe? i have an 09 rocker and i want to use the same exhaust has you guys, and some people were telling me to use a baffle with it. they said they read in a article that the baffle will prevent the exhaust from re-entering the engine, which is apparently common with that exact stlye of exhaust. have you heard this? any info would be great. thanks alot.

You should be alright if that's all your doing right now. Congrats on the pipes, I got in on those too, you can't beat the deals they are giving right now. Here is a pic of mine with the black Troublemakers. Good luck, they are easy to install, just take your time.

Don't forget to get new exhaust gaskets for when you install the pipes.

Mine came with them, although I didn't use them. I only had about 4k on it and they looked great. No leaks either.

If your asking me, yes I do. I am using whatever they came with. They have a nice deep tone and are plenty loud for me. I had some slip-ons installed before, with the baffles removed, and they ran fine. They were a little too loud though for my neighborhood, when I left real early in the morning. These are pretty close to the same sound though, with the baffles in.
