Default Anyone installed a rear turn signal relocation kit lately?

Have to replace a rear turn signal. It appears the two wires run from the turn signal to the brake light. Where do I remove the wiring from in order to rethread it thru the turn signal relocation shaft? Inside the bullet turn signal or the brake light? Will I have to splice? This seems like a simple job that I don't want my dealer charging me a buttload to do.

I installed the kit a couple weeks ago and the wires were cut and spliced with supplied butt connectors. I also had to lengthen the wires.

I unplugged the signals from inside the taillight and took apart the connector and reran the wires and put it back together. Pretty simple. Jsut use a pick or small eyeglass screwdriver to disassemble.

+1 on that surely the best way to do it, will only take a few extra minutes compared to having a splice under the fender.

wow really. Took HD forever to think of that. Thought that was just ridiculous that they did not have that included or some simple plug in ones.

I just did mine yesterday. Mine did not come with extensions and i didn't figure out that i needed them till after i got everything together and tried to plug the turn signals back in. needless to say that i took it back apart and had to add about an 1" of wire just so i could plug everything up. Oh and lets not for get that one of the turn signal stems needed to be drilled or "massaged" to be able to get both wires threaded through it. It was a blast. have fun

yes. this was absolutely the worse part. I had to have a friend (female) do it, because my buddy and I did it both on to our bikes, and just did not have the patience and crazinees. I can't believe they cant make it easier with extensions or something.
