Some people use the dog bone at a 90 degree angle instead of calculating the torque and go with the minimal torque range.

 

thanks everyone the jobs done i used the torque wrench at 90degrees where i needed and tripple checked all tensions and all went well having the right tools for the job makes a big difference.it really makes you wonder how a metal gasket put in dry with no sealer makes a air tight seal but thanks again for all the help

 

Curious hddee, where did you get the dog bones and how much did you pay for them? They are expensive little buggers.

 

had them left to me from a good mate who passed away from cancer.20years ive owned a shovel and done most of the work myself and never was to fussed on late model stuff so i didnt pay to much attention to wathing my mate working as he was a qualified harely mechanic.now i have a 07fxst and im a bit lost.he left me all his harley equipment and snapon tools so i have all the gear i just need to know how to use it all
