Default deuce handlebars

I was wondering I am going to put drag bars on my deuce and I was going to put a 6 inch rise drag bar on but someone told me that you have to put a minimum of a 7 inch rise because a 6 inch will interfear with the speedometer or something. Does anyone know anything about this?

I have 6" built in risers on mine but you may have trouble with you turn signals hitting the tank. I went to a smaller size.

roadtrain. Is there a washer or something that you have to insert when you put the drag bars on the deuce?

I put mine straight on,there is an adapter you can purchase but you don't need it. Have you decided on a set with built in risers. I rode with the Deuce risers and flat drag bars for a time then was given the set I am using now. Not alot of difference between the two set ups.

i have a set of low profile drags on my deuce from wild 1. go to wild 1 .com and check them out. they look fantastic. they only have a 4 inch rise and i did not have to relocate my turn signals but i did anyways.

The Deuce bars are not bush mounted so the risers tighten down on the tripple tree, this is where the adapter is required if the risers are not thick enough as in diameter. Mine were OK and I've seen many fitted without requiring the adapter. Get the bars and then decide if you need it.
