Default A good Open Face Helmet

Anyone know of a good open face helmet (one that covers my ears)? I want a lower profile one. Most I find are so thick they make me feel like a character on South Park! I prefer a flat black one and would want it to be DOT approved.

thanks,

Most DOT open face helmets have thick lining and shell, I bought a 70s Shoei vintage, it isn't DOT but much better than beanie, it works for me.

Search for Fulmer V2. Great helmet: Low profile, lightweight, inexpensive. My only complaint is that the strap is way longer than it needs to be.

thanks,
I just bought a early 1970's Nesco helmet off ebay for $36.00. It Looks identical to the helmet 128auto posted. Even white too. It's not DOT. BUT there was no DOT approved back then. It was ANSI then. It says it MEETS OR EXCEEDS ANSI Z90.1 "1971" & Z90.1 "1973" STANDARDS. It's almost perfect. Only missing thin inside top pad. But honestly, it's not much lower profile than the new DOT 3/4 helmet I have. I was expecting a big difference, but it's not much. You can do a search on ebay for vintage helmets for some like this.

These Fulmer helmets are susposed to be some of the lowest profile DOT helmets that you can get. But You will have to find a dealer near you. Can't buy them online.

I've been looking around for the same thing. I use a Acc/headtrip helmet but would like to have a open face also. The fulmer helmet is a cool helmet but comes in funky colors and prints. The helmet that cought my eye was the DAVIDA. Now those are a baddass helmet but i just cant get over the pricetagA good Open Face Helmet-edtamara_davida99_0353smallwebret-1-.jpg

Fulmer 655 is great. i have had the fulmers from 25 years ago and the harley a few years ago and the comfort and the price and the weight are great. I can wear in the 100 summer months and stay cool. i flip the face shield up part way and the air blows threw. i love the defrost vent on the inside. harley dealer had these for 130, another indi had them 99 and a yamaha dealer had them for 79.
