Finally broke down and bought the bike I've wanted for a long time. On friday I picked up an 09 Night Train. The dealer had done some modifications to it last fall when it came in and it had sat on the showroom floor since. They gave me a great deal on my trade in (2006 RK Classic) and dropped the price of the bike down to 15,400.00 out the door so I took the deal. This is the last year for the Night Train and since I don't like to buy used bikes, I decided it was time.
They have put a lowering kit on the rear and put Harley Street Slammer bars on it with the wires run in the bars, relocated the front turn signals, changed the grips and few other things I can't remember right now.
I'm having the stage one done on it next friday after the new thunderheader, SE Heavy Breather A/C (in black of course) and the thundermax tuner come in. I'm also having the front wheel changed to a HD Thunderstar (?) mag style wheel keeping with the 21 inch size. I also had them put on a black floating rotor for the front and will upgrade the back in a couple of weeks. They are installing the parts and then going to run it on the dyno to get in dialed in and I should be a happy camper. I rode it 300 miles yesterday and it is just to quite for me with the stock mufflers.
I know everyone will say I need to post pics but you've all seen the Night Train before. I post up some new pics after all the mods are done so I can update my sig pic.
Welcome to the glamarous and exciting world of Night Train.
