Do I have a bad battery?
I always use battery tenders on my bikes. Normally they charge for a short period then the light turns from Red to green indicating it is no longer charging. Last Friday I purchased a new Harley Rocker I attached the battery tender and noticed unlike my other bikes, it continues to charge without turning off, the light stays red, even over night. I thought it may be the tender so I traded it out with one of my other tenders and the problem stayed on the Rocker. I checked the connections, everything seemed tight, but touching the top of the battery i noticed it was rather warm, I would assume from the tender running for such a long period. Does this indicate an issue with the battery? I did a quick battery check with a Volt Meter and it showed (with engine off) 13.5 volts.
Any suggestions?

I ran into a similiar prob last winter when I didnt ride it for a good 2 months. I left the tender on it and it stayed green.....it barely started when I rode it next....then it didnt start after I turned it off! I had to warranty the battery.....
when you hit the start button, does your battery voltage drop till like 4 volts? then its a bad battery. How is it starting? I would watch it, because over time it might drop over time. Mine would read charged on the tender, but voltage was only 12.6, and when I hit start, would go down to 6 volts, then 4 volts no longer starting the bike after two weeks of on and off.
Reading the 13.5 volts is with the tender off the batteries correct?

Yes, 13.5 with the tender off the battery. On my other two bikes I also have the security systems, and both of those seem to charge correctly. Plug in the tender, it shows charging for a short period then they switch over to green light. I traded out the tenders and same issues on the rocker, charging light remains on, and not only the battery seems to get warm, but the tender also gets rather warm from being over worked I guess.
could be a bad cell or something on the battery. I would bring it up to your HD and if they are good, will actually take a look at it out of the bike and charge it over night and see if it passes a real load test.
