See if you can find someone locally with a simular set up, That way you can try it out. I am 6' 4" and I wouldn't want anything any taller. I use my bike as my commuter so I spend almost 2 hours a day on it. Stock seat and 14" Carlini Flyin apes and my hands are level with my shoulders. Just some food for thought.

I have 14" Carlini flyn apes...1 1/4" no step down..and use the Carlini diamond risers. Not the best pic to see them in..but all I have now. BTW..if you go with Carlini and get bars with a step down (smaller area at the risers) the bars are not the same as they are in a non-step. They are wIder and more squared...like a Wild1 bar.

Do you have the stepped Carlini bars (that use 1" risers)

No, I have the 1 1/2" Carlini flyin apes " 14" ". They are solid width across the base. I am using the 1 1/2" Dog bone risers with them. If you need dimensions let me know, I will take some for you.

Mines's not the same bike as yours, but I put 16" Wild1 Chubbies (1.25" O.D.) on mine with Wild1 1.5" straight risers.

Put bars on that you'll be comfortable riding with, or it's worthless. Me, I put 16's on cuz they kept my hands at about shoulder height... which is good if you care to keep circulation flowing in your hands on long rides. But if you're just goin' boulevard crusin' for an hour at a time, hell, put 18s or 22s on. Reach for the sky!

I had the shop have all my cables/lines custom made after the bars and risers were fitted on and they could measure for proper length. Seemed more accurate than buying new lines at someone's best guess of correct length.
