Default Ricor Intiminators

Anyone install these on other than a Train, Custom, Rocker or Bones and can comment on the install and performance?

I already had a set delivered to me. I just need to buy the recommended fork oil and I should be able to install them over this coming weekend. Once I do I will let you know how they turn out. I can’t wait to get them a ride. I am installing them on a 1999 XL883 and if they turn out as good as I have read about, then I will be adding them to some of my other Sportsters as well. Hopefully someone else that already has experience with them will post up something about them as well!

There's a ton of positive feedback on them on the XL Forum. They'll be going on the wife's Nightster this winter.

I've got a set going on my Standard tomorrow. I'll pop back on here in a few days and comment on how they work out.

Let me know how those work too. Been wanting to get a set for my 02 fatboy. I went to a heavier fork oil but it's a wee stiff, and i feel more bumps than i used to with the factory fork erl. Those fork items are supposed to be the hot chit and actually improve the front fork operation.

Why can't the MoCo put some decent front forks on their bikes? 18K doesn't get much these days..... I think the forks on my 07 Fatboy could be better.

Okay, I got a chance to ride my bike today with the Intiminators installed. I really only had time to ride for about 20 minutes or so, but it did seem to feel "tighter and firmer" in the front end. I don't think I can say that they give a "smoother" ride, but I personally do not mind feeling the road more as long as the bike isn't jumping as I hit some road imperfections. Would I say they make a "huge" difference?... no, not really. I am still hoping that changing my 90 series front tire to a 120 series will improve front end feel even more. In any case, I like the look and feel of the FX bikes so I am willing to make whatever minor and reasonably inexpensive changes I can to get the front end to handle as good as possible. However, before I dump a ton of money into changing front ends, lowering or raising, etc., I will get a bike that handles better for my own particular riding. I'm not there yet, but in a nutshell I have to say that adding the Intiminators was a step in the right direction.

John did you use the recommended oil?
Did you set the oil level to ricors specs? (which is less than the factory specs)too much oil will make it stiff

Be interested in knowing as well since this is really the first review (although admittedly there aren't that many reviews) I have heard of this type. I certainly don't want to feel the road any more than I do.
