Default Check Out my Front Wheel

I now think I finally know where my wobble is coming from. I need to call MOCO I think.

While that visually sucks, as long as runouts are good and it's balanced that machining irregularity will have no effect. A bit of refining in the casting process is in order though.

I hear ya...but having casting standards that loose on a high end motorcycle, to me is unacceptable.

I'm sure you're right about the mass of aluminum swinging side to side not having an effect, but nevertheless, my front end wobbles (which I hate), and now this funky wobblewonk of a wheel is the last straw. And I'm not totally convinced that it's NOT causing the wobble.

I went to one of my local dealers today and looked at a Fatboy Lo and the front wheel was damned near spot on looking at the lathe work. Mine, you can clearly see when the wheel isn't even turning that one side looks thicker than the opposite side, aka 180 degrees opposite.

I'm fighting it. There's enough PULL OFF Fatboy wheels out there that they could cough up a straight one.

Not pissed at your post, in fact thank you.

What am I looking at? If you have a bad spot or something take a picture of it.

How bad is the wobble and when did it start?

Watch the machined surface near the holes in the wheel disc as it spins.

I'd have to have it replaced if it were mine. Even if it were on my dime.
Likely would balance out, but even the visual part wouldn't work for me.

We'll see what MOCO says on Monday. I'm going to refer them to the video you just watched.

Check out the center hub as the wheel turns, even it is cattywhomped. The hub on the other side is even worse. I didn't even know I had a problem until I got a bike lift and spun the front wheel.
