Mounting TearDrop Cover on Stock CV Carb.

Hi Guys,

I saw this kit online on ebay, it seems pretty straight forward .

I have already the Screaming Eagle Filter on my bike (01 FXST) and I was wondering if I need the 'breather bracket kit" they sell ? this is the picture of the kit .

It is unlikely you will NEED the breather bracket, but it is a nice feature to add to you air filter setup as it can really cut down on blowback from the engine causing oil to pool in the bottom of the air filter. Why not send them a message or call them and ask if it is necessary?

If you don't mind me asking... Why would you want your CV carb to look like a S&S but not run like one? I recently swapped my CV for a 42mm Mikuni and I gotta say I wish i did it a long time ago... Night and Day difference! Why not save a little more and get the carb to go with it?
