Default 14 inch Carlini's

I'm tired of searching so here goes. Anyone have 14 inch Carlinis installed? I've got some coming and I'm trying to figure out cable lengths. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I got 14" gangsta apes. Carlini's run big and my 14's are around 15.5"

I went with +6 cables on all four and it's plenty.

***Try not putting a return cable on before you put the tank back on. It makes the bike look cleaner. I couldn't get my throttle cable to roll smoothly so its another winter project now.***

+1 I just took off my return cable. It looks so much cleaner and my throttle feels the same

That's interesting, which cable are you referring to? The throttle or idle?

I've got them on my bike. Check out my gallery of pics. Also, I did a write up that included cable lengths, pat numbers and everything if you go to my profile and search for threads created by me. It was in December/Jan i think

JP cycles. Just measure your stock cables, find the brand you want and style (braided, colored, etc) for the new ones, and order the ones that say +6.

If you lower your front end +4 is all you need for the brake line. 6 would be way too much. Also remember you need elbows (I got a 45* and a 90*), new washers and banjo bolts for the brake line. Read the manual, and loosely tighten everything when test fitting. You're really only supposed to torque them down once.

Also, BUY A BRAKE BLEEDER. It's next to impossible to do manually and its a huge headache.

I almost forgot...do not cut your harness, take off the tank and pull the plug. then get the sweet tool that lets you remove the little pin plugs from the clip and add this:

http://www.jpcycles.com/Search/Produ...esults=10&Nao=

Thats the one i used (its a +12). it worked out just fine...although i cut and soldered all of mine. If you do cut, cut in different places so that there isnt a large mass of connectors lumped together.

Next time the tank comes off i'm making a custom harness so that there aren't any gaps. But it wont be until next winter due to a 10 month vacation in afghanistan for 2010
