Its not the end of the world if thats the only mod you have done(like no intake mods or cams and junk) As long as ur not trying to make the bike do 130mph on a daily basis or sitting in stop and go traffic for hours it wont hurt anything. It WILL however, pop, crackle and spit like a *****!! Which I love...I run my short shots without baffles and those pipes will wake the dead!! Its an amazing noise to be honest. Your pipes should be a little mellower just bekuz of the design. Just try it for a while and then buy a tuner when u are able to. I ran mine for three months in Honolulu traffic without baffles and without a tuner and she still runs fine.

Not recommended. I'm sure others with more knowledge will chime in and better explain. Your engine will not run correct (ie..backfiring), will run lean and you will lose backpressure resulting in loss of power.

What he said....plus what I said. But like I said, I spoke with Vance & Hines, Dobeck Performance(the guys I got my tuner from) and a TON of Harley Techs that all said what I told ya. Word for word. My neighbor is a friggin certified Harley Master Technician of almost 26 years and even HE said it's not the end of the world as long as you dont ABUSE the engine. Just my .2........

I dunno about the Big Radious but rather than simply gut the pipe and loose the low/mid range gains you got by doing a 2-1 in the first place....

Look at pulling the baffle and altering it instead. Rather than rocking it baffle-less why not rock it on say...Haf-A-Baff?

I betcha if you can get it out and get creative or midevil on its *** you would like the sound of a Haffed Baffed pipe better than just a raw nasty unbaffled sound.

That being said...The difference in sound on my 2-1 Rinehart when tuned right and not tuned as right? Is night and day. I recently had my bike retuned by a guy who spent some serious time on it. Now its louder, faster and nastier. He went richer off idle. Now its badass noisey without being pull me over silly loud..... Raspier than ever. Fvck I love it!!

Joel... You can try it it won't hurt anything as long as you're not back firing and stuff... Like Chaz said you will loose low end... Most peeps won't notice till they put the baffles back in and think to them selves "wow" what a diff?

Yeah Mike... if he don't come out we may just have to roll by his work place on sunday...
