Default possible to move floorboards forward?

i don't think i have ever seen a kit that would let you do this, but i wonder if it is possible to move the floorboards forward a couple inches? i know that would also affect the brake pedal positioning as well as shifter. i am 6 feet tall and i wish i was sitting back just a little bit further on my '09 flstc with my legs a little more relaxed. i know i can't lower the boards any further, as i already scrape them when cornering sometimes.

any suggestions?

This is probably the cheapest way. They say for touring, but they will fit. Sonorchris did a pretty good write up about this too. Do a search. Had lots of pics too.

I have done the above to my Heritage and it makes a world of difference. I believe it is close to 2 inches.... also those boards applied with the Harley goodies extensions makes for a very comfortable ride. I also am over 6'.

Kuryakyn also has a kit that will move the floorboards forward and out

Relocator Brackets
for Driver Boards

Repositions driver boards out one inch and forward one inch from stock location

Makes a noticeable difference in comfort; thighs aren't as tight against the tank, right knee is not as tight against the air cleaner, and legs get to stretch out a little bit more
Compatible with Küryakyn ISO-Boards as well as H-D Traditional or Swept Wing shaped boards
Not compatible with Cruise Arm Mark III (P/Ns 7914, 7915) or standard-length version of Cruise Arm Mark IV (P/N 7844)

4588 Fits: '97-'09 Street Glides, Electra Glides, Road Glides Road Kings (set) $93.99 Qty
7528 Fits: '00-'09 FLST Models (set)

$93.99 Qty

One thing I like about the HD's is they look like they angle a little bit compared to the stockers being level...... that would prob feel a little better.....

check these out, i've got these going on my FatBoy with 2 3/4" extended shift & brake levers ( to give me more room up to the boards, as i'm 6'3", & much more room on the boards ) can still install my engine guard in stock location with this kit

Im 6'1" and this is exactly what I have been thinking about all summer long. Move boards forward. Agree with Oct, the angle seems like a good idea.

From what it looks like the mounts on the boards just need to be moved back a bit. Grind off mounts and weld back onto brackets ~2" rearward? Wish I had the tools, I'd try it...

Does Harley Goodies make something to move boards forward? He makes quality stuff. Hopefully he will jump in and this could be a possibility for him and us

I'm just shy of 6'3" and I got my floorboard extensions through Cyclevisions. However, I see from your pic that you have the highway bar already attached. Floorboard extensions won't usually work with those since they are attempting to attach to the same points on the frame and could hit.

Our extensions will work with the extended floorboard pans. It is a great combination to provide ultimate comfort for your dogs.

do your extensions move the boards forward ? or just out to the sides ?

& if it's just out to the sides, does it make the boards more susceptible to dragging, as it would change the cornering angles considerably ?
