anybody know if the 09 fatboy gastank will fit a 08 fatboy...I know the 07's have a different bracket inside tank and won't work on the 08's

any help would much appreciated...Thanks

 

i would say yes, as i beleive the last change made by
h.d. was from the 07 to the 08.
i found this out by buying an 08 tank to put on a 07 softail, the tank fit, but the fuel
pump mounting bracket was different.
07 and older the mounting bracket is towards the rear and to the right side of the gas
tank hump, the 08 bracket sits on top of the hump. you can see this looking into the
opening on top of the tank.
look on ebay, you can see tanks that people are selling and if they took the correct
picture you can see the difference in the 2 fuel pump mounting brackets.

Yes the 09 tank and 08 are are interchangeable. You will have no problems! Good luck I just went through this mounting a 08 tank on my 06 carb. The brackets were different, but I made it work.
