Default Fat Boy mods

Can you guys tell me what mods have been done to this bike based on these photos? I have my Fboy coming in 5 weeks (2005 Fat Boy anniversary edition) and like the looks of the bike in this photo.

Thanks, can't wait to ride!

Well the *** has been slammed about as far as it will go I'd say.

Different rear fender/tailight
Chrome lower belt guard
Chrome rear pulley/cover
Floorboard inserts
Shifter peg
rear pegs
yellow plug wires
different seat
tachometer
braided lines
engine guard with footrests
auxillary lighting kit w/signals mounted underneath
trim rings on headlight and aux lights
fork bag
chrome lower fork legs
different grips
different mirrors
axle mounted tag
different tank bib w/pocket
different derby cover

Thats about all I can nail down atm, getting bored with it too

It is a sweet looking ride, I like the lowered look, but would be worried about the turn angle.

Thanks for the input.

What is the best way to lower a softail? I have seen replacement shocks (but that seems like the ride would suffer) and I have seen an adjustable shock mount.

How low can you go before you start scraping? I plan on adding forward controls-

Just thought you might want to see forward control
on a fatty. I also slammed the rear down an inch
and 1/2. different rear fender.

Well you can scrape the floorboards without lowering it at all. If you slam it down like that bike and put on forward controls you'l drag the frame before you will hit the controls. I have a friend that done it and he said its alot more scary when the frame hits. I have 3 friends with 3 fatboys that slammed em with the $70ish adjustable mounts. My Deluxe has the Harley lowering shocks from the factory I'm pretty sure and they will only net you about an inch. It says in the catalog they will not drop the deluxe any at all so this leads me to believe they are standard equipment on it. The Fatboy needs a drop to look really good but get the adjustable mounts so you can slam it and see if you like the handling or not. Then if you can't cope with it then you can just crank it back up to where you can cope with it. I haven't rode the guys bikes but they say the suspension aspect is still pretty good, it just scrapes alot easier in the twistys. Hope that helps ya!

Oh btw, one of the 3 guys has the Aniversary fatboy like your getting. His is slammed with beach bars and it puts the bike you originally posted to shame IMHO. You'll love that bike when you get it.

whiplush - I thought they were V&H Big Shots. They look awesome and are the same pipes I am considering. I'm also considering the SEII pipes.

How loud are yours?

I want them to sound good, but not obnoxious. I heard you can get a different baffle from V&H that drops them down 2-3dB, but that isn't much....

Your bike looks nice!

Well when I first put the pipes on I couldn't believe how loud they were. I can't figure out if they have gotten queiter with break in or if I've just gotten used to them. I'd love to hear the queiter baffles but I hate to buy them and not like em. I like em loud but I wish they were a little throatier sounding. I had cut the baffles out of the factory pipes before I got the V&H and I think that sound spoiled me.
