Help with extended forward controls...the brake line
Guys first let me say I've lurked here long enough and can't tell you how many posts have helped me out with my Train.
Second, I have a 2009 Train , matte black, and I'm trying to install the Battistini +3 extended controls, I'm 6'3". I didn't realize I would need a custom brake line. I figured there was something like a kit to adapt to the Battistinis. My mistake.
My question is what should I order, and how can i find one that will work with this style cylinder?
I really need some help on this brothers.
Thanks.

Do you have a pic of the master cylinder? If so post it. that would help. I would imagine that if the extensions are 3" forward, you could measure your regular line and order one 3" longer. I can get you one if you like. Is it stock or braided or what? We use Magnum Shielding mainly as they are the quickest when making custom length cables.

I just extended mine the other night. I welded up some brackets to take them 2" forward. Then welded a spacer (pipe) to extended them 2" out. I am going to buy a couple of compression fittings and cut the line, flare the ends and connect to extend it a couple inches. I figure if it doesnt work for whatever reason I will spend the $80 to buy an extended line.

I see that you've already purchased an extension kit, but Ness sells a 3" extension kit for your bike for about $199...comes with a new brake line, an extended shift linkage and all the needed mounting plates and hardware...I know a bunch of guys who've used their kit and are real happy with it...

It is the stock cable right now.
Ya unfortunately I already purchased them as well as the rear kickstand. I do like the look, comfort, and cleanliness of the setup...well once I can get her out on the road.

All you need to do is contact GoodRidge and request a line +3 from the T or switch. It will bolt right up and you wont have to weld, cut or re-invent the wheel.
As for the bolt being on the side. This is better, for a more cleaner look as you will not have to wrap around the master cylinder with the line, like the OE unit.
