One other thing that will make it easier to pull the wires is to remove the factory sheathing, leaving just 2 or 3 inches near the controls. Then put on the smallest heat shink tubing you can find that will fit all the wires. (I thing I used 3/8) then heat it to shink it down. You can also use a little baby powder on the sheathing to help it slide thru the bars easier.
Put the new sheathing under the couple of inches you left of the old factory stuff and it will help help prevent chaffing where it enters the bars at the top. Make sure you use a gommet in the holes at the bottom of the bars to protect them there also. I drew a diagram on a piece of paper for each connector showing the position of the wire before I took the connectors apart to make sure I got the wires back in the right place on the connector.
