Default need help on 09 rocker

hey all sorry i have not yet introduced my self yet im brian and i am from delaware and new to the hd form how ever I am on my 2nd harley. I had a 08 Vrod night train and now have a 09 rocker. So I bought a new set of drag bars for the rocker and i plan on doing the switch my self i am very mechanically incline but does anyone know how or have any experience in doing the internal wiring through the handle bars. if anyone knows a easy way or a tip to help out it would be much appreciate it

Welcome Brian, this is a great forum. Check out BR's Custom Bars for help he has how to videos that are very helpful.

its shows you how to fish them with new wire i was wondering how you can do it with your existing wire

I dont think you will need to extend wires for the drag bars since the sit just about the same....plus I think your stock cable sshould be good too. If you need to extend the wiring go to ebay and order a wire extension kit but like I said I think your good to go with the stock harness and cables for those drag bars.

I used fishing line with mounted paperclip to make it heavy. Just put it in on one side and using home vacuum cleaner on other side it goes thru automatically and easy. Than just fasten cable on fishing line and thats it.

Welcome, remove the switch housing with wires attached... First unplug wires from under tank then remove wire pins from wire plug (deutch pins). No first disconnect battery cable. then wire plugs etc..Then pull wires from top bars and just reverse the process a string fishing line will aid in pursuading wires through the bars... Its fairly easy just time consuming be prepared to spend a few hours on this project, at least i did... good luck bro and Like MIKE said post up some pics of the scoot.
