Question Thundercity baffles installation

I have the thundercity baffles for the V&H 2-2, but would like to know if there is anything that needs to be removed from the pipes and how to do this.

The installation it self seems straight forward.

Should just be a matter of removing your stock baffles. There is a small bolt each pipe when you unscrew it reach inside and slide em out. You may have to remove heat shields but I'm not sure. I did mine on V&H big shots.

Very easy to do, however removing stock baffles can be a PITA... I think I used vise grips, needle nose pliers, screw driver, wd-40 and a hammer...

I'll be doing this mod soon to my V&H BSS pipes... I just need to get those dang STUCK SOLID stock baffles out. Anybody with tips and tricks to ease the baffle removal and lessen the swearing factor?

I took the heatshields off when I drilled the new holes so I wouldn't scratch them. Just make sure the holes don't line up over the clamp position. I hit it with a centerpunch and got them exactly 6" up from the end.

As far as getting the old baffles out. One was effortless and slid right out. For the other one I just wrapped a solid wire coat hanger around the bolt from the inside (unscrewed it and put it in from the inside), attached some vice grips to the end at a good angle, and banged the grips with a rubber mallet. It broke lose around the 8th hit.

When I put them in my big radius 2-2 I used a slide hammer to jerk the stock ones out and when I went to put the Monster ones in I used a telescopic magnetic retriever tool to use to line the new holes up worked like a charm!
