Default Going to do 95" Big Bore Kit on my 04 FXST. Which cam do I go with?

I've decided to spend the extra money while getting a cam put in and do the 95" big bore kit. I had my eye on the Andrews 37b cam for the stock cubic inches. It seems like a proven cam and my buddy put down 87hp & 91tq with them, V&H Big Radius, Hypercharger and PC III on his 2003. I'm looking for the max power I can get from the following mods:

95" big bore kit
V&H 2 into 1 Big Radius
PC III
D&M Cone Intake
???? Cams

Now I know the Andrews 37b is about the biggest you can go without messing with the valves, springs or heads and am not looking for 1 million hp/tq. What do you all recommend?

Also, hows $1,200 sound for parts and labor on everything?

Thanks.

$1200 including the cams and engine build and parts? Good deal.

Yup. I've dealt with this shop for a while and sent them many referrals so they hook me up with great prices. Plus they are just good people. His quote was $1,200 - $1,300 but he always ends up on the lower end.

I went with the SE-211 cams, though an incress in compression is required, as most all mid to high end proformance cams will. The 211 cams have very good mid-range umph. Might I suggest the you have the heads gone through while it's apart. It's extra money, but you won't be kicking yourself in the *** later.

26's will provide more tq, area under the curve, due to their earlier intake close using your stock heads and br pipes.

How often do you have to check the tensioners?

What is the normal compression to bump to without affecting driveability?

Yea...this all started with a simple drop in cam. Now I'm doing the 95" kit, thinking about cam gears etc. Plus I'll need a PCIII and might do a dyno tune. A simple $600 job just turned into $2,000 by the time I'm done so I'll pass on adding any more items at this time lol.......

It's dangerous game man, ALL should know that it's more to it than just a simple this or a simple that. Save your loot, do your homework, then come winter time you'll be ready for some added ponies.
