A friend was given a set of V&H StraightShots for his Heritage that had been taken off a Dyna. They bolted right up.

Look where the mounts to the frame are and see if they're the same or close.

most pipes are different in the bracket only as several above stated.I had a thunderheader on my BB from a Dyna on it when I got it.Different style completly as far as the rear pipe but fit none the less with a homemade bracket.

Yeah the pipes will fit the motor but, Dyna's Motors are rubber mounted and the exhaust bracket moves with the motor, Softails are all rigid mount

I have a Supertrapp 2 into 1 on my Fatboy, and it came off a Dyna. The mount doesn't bolt to the frame, but onto the rear transmission bolts, so I didn't have to change anything.

i bought a used set of big radius 2-into-1 pipes for my '03 night train. after installing the head pipe assembly into exhaust ports, the bracket on the muffler sits roughly 3 inches away from the bracket i got from vance and hines.

did i get dyna pipes?

I'm glad this thread isn't too old before I resurrect it.. but how far off is the bracket from a dyna to a softail? I've got a lead on a FatCat in black for a dyna for dirt cheap and I'm curious.. if it's 3" off, that may be an issue, but if it's closer than that I figure I can weld something up and make them fit
