would it be possible to use a Dremel for the cutting, or does the dremel create to much heat?

Nice job by the way.

Hey sorry to Hijack your thread here. That windshield looks great and barely noticable, if ever were I to run one thats exactly how I'd do er. Nice job on the cut I know that sorta thing can go bad fast. Usually hate windshields with apes but that looks clean and proprtionate. Please advise as to how much it helps with the wind vs. before cut. Still way better than w/o?

Anyways on to the hijack part lol, Dennyo: you got a tank lift on that softail? If so how much/brand?

It's raised 2 1/4 in. I used muffler straps

Finally got to ride with the new cut shield today. I like it. It's about a perfect mix of having one vs not having one. If it were about an inch taller I'm pretty sure all the wind noise would be gone, but it would hit my bars. Right now it give the feeling of no shield from your head up, however it does not try to rip you shirt off like not having one does. That's one reason why I hated not having it, my shirts always were completely wind whipped. If I slouch just a little to lower my head, the windshield seems to block it all and the noise goes away.

I'm planning on installing a windshield on my sled for long rides. I will probably leave the width alone, just cut down the height. Could you please post the final measurments of your windshield... Thanks!

Yeah man, if I get a chance tonight I'll measure it for you. And I thought of leaving the width, and first drew it out on the tape as such, but it looked REALLY awkward being that short and fat...lol...so it had to get narrowed.
