Well, after seeing the Doc's bike with his new Carlini's and how great they look pushed all the way forward, I had to shove mine up there. Problem is, now my "Nostalgic Windshield" wont fit. I ride to far every day and am too used to the shield to stop riding with it. Soooo, check out how small it is fixing to be. Now it will be the exact width of the bars and the curve starts right before where it hits the bars. From sitting behind it, it still covers my chest, which will be high enough to get the wind over me.
We already cut it down a while back, about 3 inches off the top. Can't wait to get it done. I'll post pics of the progress if anyone is interested in seeing it. Should be cuttin it tomorrow after work.
Good work. Yeah, they gotta be pushed forward if you want to look like the criminal element.
fI gave up on windshields when I rolled my bars forward. I got one when I bought the bike but only used it once. A roll bag on the bars does the trick for me on those long trips. Where are the pics of the shield and the bars rolled forward?
As promised, here is the completed shield. I love it. Guarantee you wont see another like it! From the side profile, it's damn near invisible. I wish I had done this last year. I'll ride to work tomorrow and see how much it changed and report back.
Thoughts?
