Default Switch housing and indicators

Hi All,

So tonight I am trying to swap out my black switch housing with nice chrome ones... problem is... What is the preferred method when it comes to the bar mounted indicators??

I have had a look and am not sure how to get the wires out. I suppose I have two choices... Try to actually disconnect the light, or cut and resolder the wire inside the switch housing.

Any ideas??

Cheers

I'm NOT talking about the instructions that came with your switch houseing. I'm talking about a manuel for your bike. (HD manuel, or Clymers)

Ok thanks!! I need to get one. The one that came with the bike is a very basic operators manual.

I need to find where I can order the service manual for my model.

Good deal, you'll see just how much you can do at home. I got mine awile back and now I do evrything at home unless it requiresspecial tools, then I take it to a local INDY who will do it right the first time. I support the local INDY, he needs my money more then the moco.

Cool! Is there anywhere online to be able to buy and download the service manual??

I did this for my Yamaha, but can't seem to find the Harley one.

I've heard you can pick one up rom ebay. I prefer the book so I can have there with me if needed. You can get the HD one from harley and some indy shops. The clymer one you can get usually at a indy shop. Also look on amazon.com they will have it.

Thanks FattyBoyy - The job is done now anyways... and I will be relocating the indicators to the trees when I get my new bars in a few weeks. So all good.

I would like to know where I can get the manual though... I have searched pretty hard and can't find it.

Cheers
