Fat Boy Lo Survey
#11
Have had my '10 Lo for about 6 months now and have put on just under 8000 miles. Seem's I've been lucky with the fit for me. Don't have any problems with the drag bars or anything else. Except, I would consider a "long" haul seat if your going to go over 6 or 7 hundreds miles a day. The stock one can be a little stiff.
Myself and a buddy of mine did a saddlesore ride, 1000 miles in 24hours, and I would have though that my **** would have been killin me. But, to my surprise, at the end of it all 20hrs later, my **** didn't hurt. My forearms hurt!
So, if you like the look of the Lo, the power etc., go for it and set it up the way you want it and go ride!

I have a '10 lo....it is probably the last bike I'll ever buy-love it. I'm 5'10 190 pounds. I had street slammer drag bars put on it...like everyone else I hated the stock bars, but the slammers work perfectly for me. I had big radius VH pipes put on (for looks) and a heavy breather and tuner. It produces all the power I need....I feel plenty of acceleration and easily/effortlessly cruise at interstate speeds with plenty of reserve if needed (although I am a laid back type guy, not a speed freak...I can see how folks might want a 103 upgrade or something to boost midrange acceleration). I've done a few multi day trips by using throw over saddle bags and strapping down a duffle bag (humble yet effective). I love the stock seat...there have been numerous times I would ride the tank almost dry before stopping for gas but didn't NEED to stop...except for fuel. Oh, I do have the highway multibar that IMO is ESSENTIAL for long ride comfort (for me anyway)...I added pegs to the bars and so have several foot position options....and use them all. The only thing I don't like (and it isn't FB lo specific) is that the bike doesn't lope like a "Harley should"....guess I'll throw in some camshaft upgrades at my 10,000 mile service.
