I used to use a roll bag on the bars on long trips, but this last trip I left it at home. I saw no difference. I was rolling for 110 for a bit. Ooops. Had to test out the 95".
i did about 70-75 for 5 minutes on sunday and my ears hurt....like the actual insides of my ears! At 40-50, i'm fine though. I should really buy a helmet.
Do ear plugs really make that big of a difference?
If you ride regular, at decent highway speed it will be a case of when not if you damage your hearing. Wind noise is the killer not loud pipes. What sort of helmet you have and whether you have a well fitting (to you) windshield or not a factor too. I ride with an Arai fullface helmet (I like my face too much) I dont seem to bother with my windshield anymore and always wear plugs on long high speed trips.
Honestly i have a good guess to why its so much differant than the other bikes you have rode that i discovered today. could be wrong tho. its probably the housing around your tripple trees causing the wind to blast up torwards your face as to where the other bikes the wind passes through it. i was on my way to work today and i have a night train but had a hoodie bungied up above my headlight and it was causing the wind to beat the **** outta me hon the highway where normally its not bad. i dunno its just a guess
This was my guess as well. Its not just alittle different than both of my buddies bikes its alot different. Makes me feel like its a poor design!!
