04 Heritage-gas gauge

The gas gauge on my bike registers full all the time.Goes back to empty when iginition is cut off.
What can I do?I know it is not accurate,but I like for everything to work on my bike.

Mine did that a lot. I pulled the sending unit twice and looked for signs of why it was sticking. Never saw a thing. Got sick of it and went to the dealer and bought two of the stick-on gas cap covers. Now I don't see it so I don't think about it.
