I have arms like a T-Rex I dont think I could go any taller then that. I know it's better to have more cabl then less but I dont want it to look bad with a crap load of extra cable.
Have you had someone actually measure you up? That's how I figured out I needed to go with 14s.....
LOL, thats funny your lucky Im not short tempered!! haha. I did the whole sitting on the bike holding a broomstick and measured. I mocked them up on the bike and they are perfect. My hands are just a bit above my shoulders, very comfortable. So now I have to figure out if I can send the cables back or buy another set and sell the+8's. What a pain.
once you get the 12.5s on, you may wish you had gone with 14s anyway....
I would sell +6" for 12.5" bars, but this way you are ready for 14"'s or 16"'s. I don't know if you will have any issues, probably just a lot of extra cable. You see what happens when I am not here. LOL.
+8's will be to long. Your clutch cable will be rubbing the back of your front fender. Your gonna have to do a fix for that. The throttle cables will be rubbing the backside of your tin's also and scratching it up. My +6's on 12.5's still touch one in a while.
You asked me and I said mine were +6's. My wild one 12.5 sit on a 1 inch riser also.

Send em back and get +6 unless you want to use the slack as a get back.
Yeah I know, it's just one of those last minute brain farts, only this one is a costly one. I can't do anything about the cables till Monday so I'm not gonna stress over it. It just means that I have to wait a bit longer to change out my bars. I bought the bars at my local stealership at a clearance sale they had going on and I got them at a really go price. Imagin that, getting something from an stealership at a good price. Will see how this whole thing pans out, good thing I didn't remove anything yet so its still rideable.

Weve all been there, or atleast I have.....several times. I just hope where ever you got the cables will let you exchange them. What cables did you end up going with? Cant wait to see your skoot with the new bars. Its gonna look sweet. Getting something for a bargain at a dealer is rare. Frame the receipt.
I went with Magnum sterling chromite ll's, I just looked on their web site and they want a 25% restacking fee on returns, ouch! So that means Im gonna have a set of +8 cables up for sale. Anyone interested hit me up.
