Default 03 to 08 Deluxe wheel swap??

I am looking to get a 21" wheel for my 08 Deluxe. I found a guy that has a complete wheel/tire/rotor set up that he took off an 03 Heritage Softail.

Will it bolt right on or will I need to buy some parts for it?

It has different bearing sizes. The 03 is 3/4" bearings and the 08 is 25mm I believe.

Drew,

Would I be able buy the correct bearings or it won't work at all?

Yea you should be able to have the right size bearings loaded into that wheel.

Switch out the bearing and your good to go... What is the width of that wheel? Looks a little skinny.

I asked the guy but he hasn't responded yet. What size is to small for the Deluxe?

IMO the ideal size is a 3" wheel. It fills up the fender well. Now if they made a 120 WW tire i would say a 3.5" is better.

That wheel looks like a 2.15-2.5.. It's all up to you on what you want to run. you can go up to a 3.5" wheel in that FL fender. I like a filled fender. A stock wheel is a 3.5"

Im runnen a 3" myself. Now if they made a 120 WW tire for a reasonable price i would be runnen a 3.5" wheel. There was a link floaten around this site for 120 Metzlers going for $400+ for a tire... HELL NO!!! And those Vee rubber tires are hoaky... They are striping thier tires with a off white color...LMAO!!! Makes no sense!

Changing the bearings is a piece of cake...finding a 25mm spacer to fit that hub is a different story...probably have to have one made at a machine shop...along with custom spacers to make it fit your front end...not that hard just want you to know what you are in for.

Yeah black n chrome is rite. Vee rubbers 120 is antique white, hothawgz makes a 120 whitewall but damn the price tag is really steep, and availabilty is in question. They dont make alot of them, Im in the same situation, goin up in size, Im gonna run a 21x3 on the front of my 06 deluxe.

That wheel looks like a 21x2.15 from an FXST or Night train. I like the 3" as well, but if someone would sell an affordable and readily and easily available 120/21 whitewall and a 160/18 whitewall I would get different size wheels.
