ORIGINAL: T 3

Thanks to all of you here who helped with information,advise,etc......Purchased a new '07 Nightrain yesterday.

My decision came down to Superglide (regular or custom) or the Nightrain.I was almost sure I'd buy the Superglide.....almost doesn't count.

Friday night something clicked and I made up my mind to get the Nightrain.Got it on the road today and feel great about the choice I made...

Some observations:

1.When people tell a guy who's unsure of which model to buy to rent 'em at least for a few hours,it's great advise.Easier just to really see how they are beyond a simple test ride, can't beat feeling sure of your decision.I didn't rent, got the right bike anyway luckily (but not without hours of reading, looking at pics and thinking)

2.The drag bars as currently set up should be fine for most of my riding,I'm ok with trying them on a long trip and seeing how it works out.

3.I wouldn't trade the stock Badlander seat for anything else, feels just right for me,it probably wouldn't be comfortable to passengers on a long ride.

4.Forward controls are new to me,their position on this bike feels perfect, can't believe I ever used to ride mids.

5.I recently spoke to a guy who owns a '76 Superglide,he told me the difference between the way the Dynas and Softails handle isn't as great as I believed,he was correct.

6.Shifts smooth as butter, easy to find neutral,I'm not hearing any strange sounds.

7.This bike looks 100% better in my garage than it did in the dealer's showroom.

Very sweet scooter, without a doubt the baddest factory bike on the road. I went back and forth between the NT and Standard and finally decided the train was a little too dark for me but I really like them. I really love my standard, but maybe I will go dark on my next one!

Very nice bike! Sorry we lost you on the "light side", but I've heard the dark side is just as much fun.

Good looking Night Train, Hmmm, if they made those in a Firefighter Edition then maybe----Nah, it wouldn't be the same
Enjoy the new ride!!

I can see that side of it,one of the good things about learning to play with photoshop is that it enables you to see how your ideas might look....I don't know much about changing pics, just enough to get by.

Here's a modified Train for ya 06FXST,figured you might like a look at a non-dark engine version
