I'd like to be able to charge my phone while I'm using it for GPS and tunes while on the Night Train. I'm thinking my best option is something bar-mounted, as I don't think there's enough room to stick one on the side of the console (though it would look much cleaner there). All I'm seeing for bar-mounted stuff is the bullet-shaped Kury one, which is chrome only (have to paint it). Any other options?

you can get either a cig lighter type
or the powerlet which is a bit smaller

 

The Powerlet stuff is nice, but my coil is where my horn used to be, and I've got 1-1/4" bars. They've got a lo-pro socket that might fit in the console though.

 

What kind of phone do you have? I have the iphone charger that plug directly into the phone and hooks to the battery.

 

iPhone 3GS. That would solve the problem beautifully. Got a link?
