Default Windshield, Fatboy Lo Help!

Alright, did a search, forum member helped, but i need a windshield that i can look over, not thru it. Considering how low the Lo seat is, anybody have any ideas on options, looking at the Longrideshields but not sure they are any shorter than HD's. So besides buying the HD or aftermarket and cutting it down to the size i need, are there any other options/ideas. Thanks for any help and ride safe.

yeah - just cut the shield down to where you need it. there are several threads showing how. or, take it to a glass shop, they'll cut if down for $20 - $30.

Yea, and not only can you cut it down, but you can shape it to how you want, sides also. I took mine to a plexy glass shop after drawing the shape and size on the stock windshield cost me $50 to have em cut it.

HD Low profile is 19" you should look over it. Or I prefer Memphis Shades they have the Fats or Slim Model if you want the classic look and they come in 13", 15" 19" and 21". The MS are a lot less $ than the HD. Most MS dealers have a measurement tool (its a windshield with marks at different levels) to help select the correct height.

when I bought my shield I was having the same thoughts...

for a Lo, I would go with the extra cost of the MoCo shield, simply for the black hardware.. from what I could find the Memphis Shades only have chrome hardware. I know, "just buy the other, have it painted/powdercoated".. but I am a lazy bastard, and I knew that I would just install the chrome stuff, and "get around toit"... lol and never do it, and always be pissed at myself.. so I spent the extra chedar...

I think the MoCo shield looks really nice on the Lo.

I bought the parts seperate from HD because they did not sell the size windshield in black. I think it was an 18" glass and the frame was bought seperate. I got the idea from another member. Check the Fat Boy lo thread with 1174 replies, everthing is in there.

I have since changed to a Mustang Vintage Solo seat which sits me more upright. I probably would now be alright with a 21 inch shield. How tall are you?
