Default Can't reach the ground!

I am buying an 05 Softail Deluxe and am not able to put my feet on the ground. I am 5'2" and the bike is already pretty low to the ground, so I need to start with getting a different seat that is more narrow. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am probably 3/4" off the ground each foot.

Thanks!
Erin

HD has a Super Reduced Solo Seat. Supposed to move the rider up to 1" lower and 2.5" forward. The catalog shows it at $199.95.

I have a Mustang Vintage seat on my FB and it is about 3" narrower at the front than the stock seat. It allows your legs to drop straight down. I luv it and can do 500 mile days on it.

The HD Reach seat may be of some help to you. Or if you want to stick with the stock styling you could send the seat to Meancitycycles and have the seat modified. They are listed at the bottom of the main page here and could probably tell you exactly what they could do for you.

Thicker heeled boots is not a bad idea either. I know some lady riders it has worked great for. I'm assuming you're a lady rider from the Erin signature .

I set on a Bike at the dealer that had this seat on it. I'm 5'8" and it had me to far forward, and I was bending my knees. This might be the seat for you. I have the Lepera Silloute. See sig pic. Its low to and I've done several 400 mile + days. No back pains.

The bare bones will definitely drop you down some.I'd say at least 1 ".But it also sits you back some as well.So if you are have trouble reaching the bars and controls it's just something else to think about.
