Good write up man after reading this I feel confident enough to try it myself on my 03 train( tho I never worked on my front end before) just one question how much pressure is it under when you take the old springs out should I have to worry about them shooting out at me? Haha

A few more hours until I pick up my bike with the "drop the forks out" kit and my Ricor Intiminators. I spent hours last night reading the reviews of the intiminators and about how they work. It seems as if I will not feel bumps in the front end as I used to. that will be really nice as the Shotgun Shock takes care of the rear end very well.

I still can't get over the use of the name "Drop In".

Dr. Keep me posted on how the intimidators work please. And how much were they. Went to the site and it wasn't in dollars.

They are $189 if I remember correctly. I bought mine last year. It's my day off so I will be picking the bike up around 1:30 or 2.

Understand what you are saying... drop in basically means no need to pull the damper rods and drill them out.. and then hopefully only once like the "other fork modification kit" requires. Hope that helps. Looking forward to your ride report also.

Great write up, thanks. I just changed out my rear shocks on my 09 RKC to the Progerssive 940's and want to do the front but also have been a little intimidated but I think this helps.
