Hit 10K in 6 months today
Today was a riding milestone for me. From 6 April 2006 til today, I went over 10K miles ... 10,042 in 192 days to be exact. In just over 6 months, I have:
1. Paid for the 1K service
2. Paid for the 5K service
3. Paid for the 10K service
4. Paid for new tires
5. Paid for new brake pads
6. Paid for $4900 in accessories
All I can say though is money well spent ... can't wait to see what the next 6 months brings.

I put 12,500 on mine in 9 months, but you sure beat that!
I was surprised that you needed tires dnd brake pads...
I got 10.5K out of my rear tire (200 mm) and 12.5k out of my front (skinny one).
My brake pads are about 1/2 gone.
I'm wondering about my cam chain tensioners, personally... they are unpredictable.

Lets see...since April 1st... 12948 miles oil change every 2500, gonna do tires and brakes over the winter months. Mechanic says they are still ok for a while yet, so I will do them prior to next season
Amazing..I did that with on 2 weekend trips of under 1000 miles each..Course it helps that I ride 100+ a day just to and from work

Also, it sure helps to rack up my total miles when you are in Bavaria (Germany) and live in the Black Forest. The Black Forest is nothing more than exceptional for riding.

Now this is what I am talking about ... RIDING. I work with 2 guys that own Fatboys (2003, 2002) and they both have less than 2K miles. Why even own them?

I WISH I could put that many miles on mine! Unfortunately, I just don't have the time for long rides. I try to ride to work almost every, but my office is less than 5 miles from the house. I've put 2200 miles on mine since mid-June.
BTW - SMSgt B: 1987-1989 Rhein Main AB, Frankfurt here! I was a medic with the 2nd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron! Bavaria is an absolutely beautiful part of the country - enjoy!
