Yep, wipe them down clean after intalling and before starting.

JD's Cycle in Bethlehem is one of the best places to get your bike tuned...

Take a look on the Rush Exhaust website. Go to Harley > Softail > full exhaust. Very nice looking pipes and would look great on the Bones. I live near Collegeville. I'll check out JD's and thanks for the advice!

To all, thanks for all of the good advice on this. I don't know why I'm thinking the pipes are such a big deal to do especially since I've done all the other work to my bike myself. Okay, I'll plan on ordering the pipes today. I'll check out JD's, as suggested, and maybe Phat Performance. I'll use a 1/4" drive with an extension and swivel. I'll also expect a little "smoking" at first when the pipes cure the first time.
